The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves on.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, for example, vacuum mop robot the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can manage it even when not at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a specific path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features you don't often see on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it a little more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
